Hey kids. Just a quick update on what's going on in my life at the moment.
I'm writing this from a hotel lobby in Hong Kong at the moment. I've been lucky enough to be accepted as an exhibitor at the Cumulus 2016: Open Design for E-very-thing conference. I will be exhibiting my thesis project alongside my research partner William Duncan over the next few days. It's simultaneously exciting and nerve-wracking to be put on an international stage like this but I'm ready to give it my all.
I hope to put a version of my thesis up here on Scotty Makes Games once the examiners make up their mind on what grade to give me. I wrote a thesis exploring how digital games can be incorporated into the recovering process for survivors of stroke. It was an amazing experience and I would love to share my findings with you guys.
Anyway, given the circumstances of the recent move and this conference, Scotty Talks Games will have another brief break but I hope to get back into it once I return to Auckland. I'll also be starting a new job when I get back so it may take a little bit of time to figure out how regularly I can post. I'm suspecting it'll end up being a once-a-week thing but we'll see :)
To everyone who has been following me on this journey so far, thank you. I really appreciate your support. For now, Scotty out!
